I was finding that some of my washing (gym kit in particular) was coming out of the machine smelling 'cheesy.' I tried a variety of methods to eradicate this problem using all natural detergents as this is my preferred option. I deep cleaned the machine but was still getting the odour. I then saw an ad for Yokuu and it suggested that there was a build up of bacteria in the machine and that washing at lower temperatures was partly to blame. I felt I had nothing to lose, so purchased the sample pack. I am pleased to say that it has done the job and my gym kit smells lovely now!
I can also say that the toilet bomb works at treat too. Happy days!

I love love love everything so far. Used the toilet bombs, they’ve helped with an old toilet I had already tried everything on. The surface cleaner works really on ALL surfaces, the glass cleaner is super and effortless, I love the hand and body wash. Here's a couple of our most frequently asked questions:

+ How do I use the Toilet Foam Explosion?

Sprinkle 2 heaped spoons (±100g) into the toilet bowl. For the best foam effect, add a splash of warm water first – it makes the foam rise faster and higher. Leave it to fizz for at least 3 minutes. Once the foam has settled, you can give a quick brush or let it sit longer for a deeper clean. Flush when you’re happy. For stubborn stains, leave it overnight. Use 1–2 times per week for best results.

Tip: In soft or low-mineral water, the foam may be less dramatic. Use warm water or a slightly bigger dose to boost the effect.

+ Does it remove odours and hidden dirt?

Yes – and that’s what makes it different. Unlike classic cleaners that simply mask smells with perfume, YOKUU tackles the source. Our 1 billion probiotics break down the residues that cause odours – even under the rim or deep in the pipes where brushes can’t reach. They keep workingafteryou flush, so smells and hidden grime don’t come back as quickly.

+ Is it safe for septic systems?

Yes. The formula actively supports a healthy microbiome in your septic tank – completely safe.

+ Is it safe for kids and pets?

Always keep the product out of reach of children and pets, and avoid contact with eyes or inhalation of the powder. After use and flushing, the toilet is of course safe.

+ I have allergies – can I use this product?

Foam Explosion contains small traces of fragrance allergens (like linalool from lavender), which could trigger a reaction in very sensitive people. The amount is tiny, and since the product is used in the toilet (not on skin), exposure is minimal. Risk is very low. If you’re unsure, try it in a well-ventilated space first or ask us for the ingredient list – we’re happy to help.

+ Can I combine it with other products?

We don’t recommend mixing it with classic bleach- or acid-based cleaners, as they can interfere with the probiotics. You can alternate with YOKUU’s Toilet Bombs: use Foam Explosion once a week for deep cleaning, and Toilet Bombs in between for a quick refresh. Using both at the same time isn’t necessary – save the foam party 😉.
